How to take a screenshot on the Motorola Moto G

If you have ever wanted to save what is on your Moto G’s screen but didn’t know how, don’t worry you’ll know soon enough. You don’t need any sort of third party software to capture what is on your screen either. That’s right, you don’t need to root it or spend forever searching through tons of similar apps just to be able to take a screenshot. The Motorola Moto G runs on the Android operating system which has built in software that allows you to take a screenshot of whatever is on your screen.

Once you take a screenshot you can easily share it to your favorite social media outlets or with friends and family via MMS or e-mail. Remember you can take a screenshot of anything on the screen, it doesn’t matter if its high score on your favorite game, a funny text message from a friend or even just save some configuration settings, so screenshot whatever you want!

Using the Power button + Volume down button to take a screenshot on a Motorola Moto G.

  • First get to the screen you want to take a screenshot of; that is what you want to save!
  • Now simply hold down the power and volume down button at the same time for 2-3 seconds until your screen flashes.
  • If you have done this correctly, you will see that the notification bar will display “Saving screenshot…
  • That’s it, you have now completed taking a screenshot on your Moto G.

To take a screenshot on your Moto G simply press and hold down both the power and volume down button at the same time.

You can find the screenshots you’ve taken by either:

  • Going to your gallery through the menu options.
  • Using the pull down  notification bar and selecting the screenshot from the recent notifications list.
